A study of Society and Environment (SOSE) in the Middle School provides students with the opportunity to explore a range of interesting topics including Medieval Europe, Polynesian culture, Vikings, Australia’s involvement in WWI and WWII and a local history unit focusing on early settlement of Deception Bay and Redcliffe.

Students complete 4 semesters of SOSE during year 8 and year 9.  Senior students who have achieved high results in year 9 SOSE are encouraged to study Ancient History in Year 10,11, and 12. Certificate II in Tourism provides a vocational pathway for students who enjoyed SOSE topics in Junior.
